THE LAMINATE
A PRODUCT WITH UNIQUE AESTHETIC CHARACTERISTICS, TO COMMUNICATE THE MEANINGS OF MODERNITY.
In design, as in art, the choice of materials is not accidental. Each material brings contents, references and languages. Changes in style and taste have always been accompanied by an interest in new materials and technologies.

The laminate has been the protagonist of the aesthetic revolution of our times. It has canceled its reductive image as a material limited to functional use, to assume the characteristics of a product with high aesthetic value, offering its users an intense and rewarding sensorial relationship, expression of freedom and originality in urban areas.

The history of design furniture of the last half-century is closely interlaced with that of the laminate. This versatile and exciting material, able to convey signs, information, emotions has been privileged by designers that have considered the decoration as an essential aspect of the furniture.

Extraordinarily practical, flexible, resistant, the laminate is capable of varying colours, textures, finishes and images to create exciting and stimulating surfaces of primary importance and significance. The laminate has offered to designers a boundless creative freedom and at the same time the opportunity to present their works with a choice clearly marked and recognizable, always careful to the expressive values.

There have been numerous and important designers, who have found with the laminate the ideal technological resource to express their creativity.

STUDIO ALCHIMIA E GRUPPO MEMPHIS
